The Bomber Jacket, Styled Two Ways

I guess I am feeling kind of untrendy as of late because I brought you the trendy backpack purse last week, and this week, I’m bringing you my thoughts on the ever-so-popular bomber jacket.

My only unknown with the bomber jacket (prior to purchasing) was styling it multiple ways. I knew it would be a great piece to throw on in the spring (I am slightly jacket-obsessed, as I’m always cold) to complete a casual look, but I was even more intrigued by how I could dress it up.

My favorite budget-friendly places to try out trends are Target (duh) and Forever 21, and I ended up finding THIS ONE at Forever 21 a few weeks ago. I think olive green is a great neutral for so many ladies, so in my head, I knew I wanted something olive before I began shopping around for one.

LOOK 1: “Cool Mom” On-the-Go

Here I styled the jacket with a band tee, distressed denim, and slip-on sneakers. Nothing too earth-shattering, but to me, it’s an easy go-to look I can file in the back of my mind for a day when I don’t really want to think too much about my casual look.

I am a big fan of Vans for moms because I feel like I have the least amount of time to get myself ready, and a pair of slip-ons are really easy. I bought these at Famous Footwear last summer.

My tank is from Target last summer, and my favorite distressed denim, the American Eagle jegging, has been going strong for over two years now.

Look 2: A Night Out

I have been pretty lazy in my “night out” looks lately, as in I wear whatever I wore earlier that day. But with this look, I can take the bomber jacket and transition it to a dressier look pretty easily. And let’s be honest…when our kids spend the night with grandparents, our primary concern is catching up on sleep…our kids are EARLY risers.

Here I paired my favorite LuLaRoe Julia dress and Old Navy peep toe booties with the bomber jacket. I added a statement necklace (the Stella and Dot Pegasus) for good measure.
